Frequently asked questions
What is efbRun?
A preflight planning, meteorology and briefing tool for pilots: route and NAV LOG, METAR/TAF and radar, NOTAM summaries and flight school management.
Can efbRun be used as the sole source in real flight?
No. efbRun is intended for training, planning and simulation; it does not replace official publications and approved sources. See the terms of use for details.
I forgot my password.
Tap "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen and enter your account email; a reset link will be sent to you. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder.
Can I sign in with Apple or Google?
Yes. Use the Apple or Google button on the sign-in screen to create an account and sign in. If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email", our emails reach you through Apple's relay address.
I cannot see a module.
Modules are shown according to the package assigned to your account. For flight school accounts the package is set by your organisation's administrator. Email us if the problem persists.
Why does the app ask for my location?
Location is used for in-flight navigation (NAV LOG, HSI), showing nearby aerodromes and Aerodrome Times measurements. The rest of the app works without location permission. See the privacy policy for details.
How do I manage notifications?
Briefing-ready notifications and announcements use the iOS notification permission; you can turn it off in iOS Settings → Notifications → efbRun. Promotional notifications are sent only if you explicitly opt in within the app, and you can turn them off in the app settings at any time.
Where do weather and NOTAM data come from?
METAR/TAF, radar, NOTAM and navigation data come from licensed and public sources. AI-generated NOTAM summaries are an aid only; the original NOTAM text always prevails.
Account deletion
In the app:
- Open the profile menu in the efbRun iOS app.
- Tap "Account & privacy", then "Delete account…".
- Read the notice and confirm.
- Verify your identity (password, Apple or Google).
By email: From your account's registered email address, send an email with the subject "Account deletion" to info@efb.run. Once we verify the request is yours, it is completed within 30 days and you are notified.
Deleting your account removes your account information and the content you created (routes, flight plans, NAV LOG and flight records, saved points, briefing history and audio, device and notification records). If you signed in with Apple, the link with Apple is also revoked. Records we are legally required to keep (e.g. records of agreement acceptance) are kept only for the required period. Deletion cannot be undone.
Privacy
How your personal data is processed is explained in the Privacy Policy. For requests about your personal data, email info@efb.run.
